Elements of Art and Design:

What is line?

A Line is the edge of a form that creates a shape

Characteristics: length, thickness, and direction. 

     Length- how long the line is without stopping or breaking off

     Thickness- how wide or thin the line is.

     Direction- the way a line is placed to either create or prevent the sense of movement
